More good news to report on this chilly Saturday afternoon:
Susan says, "David's doing well. The level of staph in his blood is going down, so the antibiotics are working. If everyone could keep praying, that would be great."
David is taking up to 16 ml every 3 hrs on his feeds and is tolerating it well. (The fact that he's getting his mama's milk again is a great sign--remember that the doctor told Susan that babies who let him feed them do exponentially better overall).
He's weighing in at just under 5 lbs. He's now at 4 lbs. 15.8 oz., but he has some edema--some swelling going on--so he may lose a bit when they put him back on the lasix (sp?).
They're talking about trying to take him off the ventilator and back on the C-PAP this week. Susan says, "That would be wonderful."
